Never before in history has the young generation in China had such wealth and so many opportunities in education and on the labour market.
Chinese millennials – that is a person born between the early 1980s and around 2000 – are clearly the big winners of the last couple of decades’ massive economic growth.
China is today home to around 400 million millennials, accounting for almost 30 per cent of the total population.
It is a huge market for companies targeting young people.
These millennials can be described as both entrepreneurial and confident but also materialistic and narcissistic, writes Bamboo’s managing director Jan Hökerberg in the Focus story of Dragon News, No 2-2017.
